Juanita Strassfield is all about appearances…and it shows.
“As an interior decorator, I’m a little bit of a design chameleon,” she likes to say. An expert interior color consultant as well as furniture selection consultant and window treatment consultant, Juanita is a Jane of all trades when it comes to elegant interior space planning and interior designing.
In 2004, with a mission to deliver eye-popping residences draped in style and efficiency, Juanita established her first decorating company. Now called Archetype Interiors LLC, it is a full-service, Westchester, NY-based design firm committed to creating the best interior decorating solutions for her clients’ tastes, budgets, and time frames. Whether it’s complete demolition and overhaul or updating and transforming existing space, her motto remains the same: to develop beautiful well-functioning interiors that just feel right.
As the founder of Archetype interiors, Juanita is, herself, a ‘decorated’ businesswoman, with a strong foundation in all aspects of house and apartment interior design. A classically trained draftsperson, she is certified through the WFCP, utilizing the most innovative state-of-the-art design programs for window treatments and floor planning. To keep herself on top of the trends and solidify the best vendor relationships for her clients, Juanita spends time honing her skills annually at nationwide conferences and interior decorating seminars. A former seamstress and authorized Hunter Douglas dealer, she also specializes in all types of window treatments, shutters and shades.
